GoAP Signs MoU with NCS, Ministry of Earth Sciences,GoI

On the occasion of inauguration of Permanent Seismological Observatory here at Bomdila the Centre for Earth Sciences & Himalayan Studies (CES&HS), Government of Arunachal Pradesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Centre for Seismology (NCS), Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India here today at Bomdila. The MoU was signed by Shri Repo Ronya, IAS, Secretary Science & Technology,GoAP and Dr. M. Ravichandran, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences, GoAP in presence of Hon’ble Union Minister for Earth Sciences, Shri Kiren Rijiju Hon’ble Minister Science & Technology , Shri Honchun Ngandam, HMLA, Shri Kumsi Sidisow and more than 45 senior sci On the occasion,

The official website of CES&HS was launched by the Hon'ble Union Minister, offering real-time meteorological data from stations installed across Arunachal Pradesh, a collaborative effort with the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Over the past year, 54 Automated Weather Stations (AWS) have been installed and commissioned, with a total of 80 now operational in the state. AWS plays a crucial role in monitoring prevailing weather conditions, issuing nowcasts, and providing valuable weather information to sectors such as agriculture, power, transport, tourism etc.
